Aim High

Greetings! One of my favorite quotes of all time is "Shoot for the moon and you will land among the stars". Today I will be sharing my thoughts on the importance of setting your goals high for yourself and not limiting them by fear of not completing them. When creating a life list you want to include your greatest dreams. The whole idea is that it is a challenge, rather then a list of activities that can be easily overcome. By setting your sights high you are allowing yourself to do things that you may have closed off before because they seemed too difficult. Your mind like your body, if challenged, has the ability to accomplish great things, but if you tell yourself you cannot do something then automatically you have closed the door to many opportunities. Dream big. Don't constrict them because you are afraid on not being able to do them, as in the end you will have accomplished more then if you would have edited your your life list.

Monday Inspiration~

Hello! Hopefully you have had a pleasant weekend.  I'm just here with an additional bit of inspiration, because let's face it Mondays are tough. This post will simply be an extension of an older post of mine, Say Yes. I would just like to share a youtube video that I recently came across and found very inspiring. I loved as not only did it cover the benefits that can come from "saying Yes"  more often, but also it really addressed how you can began "saying Yes" in reasonable ways without overwhelming yourself.  The video for me was very helpful as it gave me other ideas for ways I could open myself up to new opportunities, and over come particular fears. She also has another video regarding anxiety that is also very helpful if you find that is something you struggle with. If you are interested, I certainly recommend you check it out. I'm sure you'll love it!
Happy Monday everyone.

Yours,  Emma

New cities

Greetings! So today I would like to talk about traveling and why it is so wonderful! First of all I would like to put out there that I myself have never traveled outside the United States  (it is on my life list). However, I have traveled throughout the U.S, to almost all the West Coast states and I know California from top to bottom. I would like to emphasis that by traveling I do not mean packing up and flying to the other side of the world, in my option it simply traveling to some play new. It was by complete accident that I stumbled across a wonderful town in Northern California called Pleasanton. I was amazed by its charming book stores, coffee shops, bakeries and boutiques. Through all my travels, I am convinced that it is one of the best towns I have ever been to. So go out and see someplace new, whether you want to visit the big city, or explore a small town, its always great to have a change of scenery. Enjoy your day!

Say Yes

Today I would like to share why I think  its important to try new things. Whether it be Yoga or Volunteering, you are opening  possible doors for yourself. I think change is something that many of us struggle with, as it requires us to exit our comfort zone and take a chance. This is a valid fear however obviously there are benefits. If you don't like it move on. At least you tried it. Perhaps it is not at all what you expected, perhaps it becomes your passion. At the very least, you can you've done it!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Images Inspire

Greeting!
I would like to mention a websites that provide inspiration for me on a daily basis. Pintrest! Essentially it is a pin board style photo sharing website that allows members to share theme based collections.  There are various categories you can browse through, filled with an abundance of really cool photos. I look through them all the time, and I have to warn you Pintrest is addicting! Like many other social / photo sharing websites, you can spend hours on there so be careful! Lately I've been using some of the photos for a project I've been working on. I take one of my life list wishes and then write it (in text) on a picture that portrays what it is I want to do. I realize this may sound a little confusing and pointless but it's actually very neat and inspiring. I have two demonstrations below.

I will post more examples in the future. I also like the idea of taking a picture of accomplishing something on your life list and then writing the number with a check or something on the picture. I will have to try it soon!
Alright so if you're interested go check out Pintrest, its amazing! And if you have time, like myself, (or just if you feel like) and create your own life list pictures!

Yours, Emma

Greetings! I would like to introduce to you, one inspiration that lead me to my recent "Live life to the fullest" epiphany. You may or may not be familiar with a TV show called The Buried Life. Essentially its about four boys who have comprised a list of all the crazy things they want to do before they die and them completing them. In each episode they would attempt to complete one of their Life List items, and also assist someone complete something they wanted to do before they died. There philosphy is simply if there's something you want to do, however crazy or out there it may seem, do it. If you succeed great, if you don't at least you tried. I really like how the emphasize the benefits and importance of taking risks. Unfortunately there show was discontinued after two seasons, however they are still perusing the completion of there bucket list. If you're interested they have a website: http://theburiedlife.com. Its chalk full of videos, pictures, there list and other fun stuff. They also have have a Facebook page from which I got my "Not All Those Who Wonder Are Lost" picture off of.  I really like the inspiring / neat / thought provoking pictures and quotes that they post. I plan to include some of them in my future posts!
If you are in need of more inspiration to live courageously, or just want see what they are all about, I encourage you to go check them out!

Yours, Emma

Food For Thought

I just thought I'd post this because I think this is just such a wonderful truth! I think often society suppresses the whole idea of straying from the normal track or living a little differently, when there is nothing wrong that! As a matter of fact is amazing and admirable! Its okay not to have a plan in life. Wandering and exploring is a route in itself, and it will take you on a journey like no other. Happy Monday everyone!

Yours, Emma
